There are three problems when using the AFM of the Alfa 164 QV. The AFM of the 164 QV is more largely than the AFM drom the 75 QV. From this two of the problems result. On the one hand the diameter of the hose connector is to the engine substantially more largely, on the other hand naturally also the connection to the air cleaner box. For the connection to the engine one could widen the existing hose now carefully. Since our goal is POWER
, we build a stainless steel pipe with 76mm diameter and suitable connections for the auxiliary air slidegate valve no-load operation bypass and the crank case ventilation. This will attached with SAMCO hoses.
The problem with the air cleaner box we deal with an open BMC air cleaner. For a later variant we will adapt the air cleaner box. Ok - only something manual work.
The largest headache for me and the bigest problem is the electrical connection…
The 75 QV has five pins at AFM, the 164 QV only four.
Attached is the LMM as follows:
Pin 1 LMM at pin 30 controller
Pin 2 LMM at pin 7 controller
Pin 3 LMM at pin 9 controller
Pin 4 LMM at pin 6 controller
Pin 5 LMM at pin 22 controller
The allocation at the ECU is as follows:
Pin 30 = CO2 potentiometers
Pin 7 = load signal air flap
Pin 9 = current supply +5V ECU
Pin 6 = mass ECU
Pin 22 = signal airtemperatursensor
The solution:
The signal of the CO2 potentiometer is switched off anyway by the characteristic diagram G-Kat with Lambdaprobe.
For example, the versions 164 QV and 164 V6 turbo do not have this pin at LMM and ECU. Therefore these connections can be simply omitted.

verstehe ich das richtig, dass dann die PINs ( Kabel ) am LMM einfach nach "vorne wandern" und die erste ersatzlos gestrichen wird ?
Habe nämlich dieselbe Konfiguration im GTV6. ( Umgebaut auf Motronic vom 75QV, dann auf Steuergerät und LMM vom 164 QV gewechselt, Kabelbaum ist geblieben )
Macht es Sinn die Motronic vom 164 QV auf Motor ohne Kat umzucodieren ? Wählt dann das Steuergerät ein passendes Kennfeld, oder rennt es ins Notprogramm, da es ja den geforderten CO- Poti nicht findet, oder weil diese Steuergerätevariante nie ohne KAT verbaut wurde.
